IMS Law College, Noida: Established in 2004, in Sector-62, Noida, IMS Law College, Noida runs under the auspices of IMS Society, a non-profit making body. IMS Law College is the first college in Noida to start B.A., LL.B 5 Years integrated course. The College is approved by Bar Council of India, recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC) and affiliated to the Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut.
About the Webinar
This webinar has been planned to give students the exposure of this all-new but a budding field in the law schools. Through this webinar, the society aims to give students the exposure and knowledge about how to use their freedom of speech and expression and were their this freedom has turned into contempt of court.
From the basic to the pro level thing would be discussed in this webinar. This would also give students the idea of the importance of how to distinguish between freedom of speech and expression and contempt of court. The Society
has invited a very learned and experienced resource person Mr. Abhishek Ghai who is a partner designated a ‘Luthra and Luthra’, one of the top firm of India Society invites all the students to get themselves registered for this webinar.
Objectives of Programme
- To cover the basic of freedom of speech and expression.
- How the remarks made in today’s time in fun or in mockery attracts the offence of contempt of court.
- To focus on drawing a line between freedom of speech and contempt.
- To help the attendees to correlate the present situation which has taken apex court’s attention.

Resource Person
Mr. Abhishek Ghai has completed his B.A. LL.B Hons degree from Punjab University in the year 2012. After which he has appeared in many high profile cases. Mr. Abhishek has represented accused in AIR INDIA SCAM in which scam of more thousand of crores was alleged.
He has also represented Mr. Kalanithi Maran and Sun Tv in the Case called 2G Spectrum Scam Case. This was a case which arosed for illegal gratification of Rupees 742.58Crores. Mr. Abhishek has been also advising various social networking/IT companies, Aviation Companies. He has also been advising and representing India’s leading infrastructure and construction group in compliance under FEMA Act. He has also been advising and representing Corporate Debtors, Committee of Creditors and Resolution Professionalism Key Issues.
