Protection of IPR and Biodiversity: Opportunities and Challenges for the Industry and Stakeholders
Objective:
As its ongoing initiative to create a ‘Strong IP Ecosystem’ in the state of Tamil Nadu and country, TNTDPC has been working on several capacity building programs for the Indian Industry and academia to attain global leadership by harnessing and leveraging IP. TNTDPC is organizing this seminar with the theme of “Protection of IPR and Biodiversity: Opportunities and Challenges for the Industry” for the benefit of Indian Industry, Academia, and R & D with focus on Agri and Seed sector. other main objectives of the seminar:
- Give a brief on the Implementation status on the Biodiversity Act and Rules.
- Focus on the intricate relationship between IPRs and biodiversity;
- Discuss framework and guidelines on Access and Benefit sharing.
- Highlight changing International IPR regimes by linking to CBD Vs Trips Agreement
- Explore and Conserve India’s Biodiversity for value based products for the Industry.
