About the Foundation:
Quill Foundation’s work revolves around pertinent issues of human rights, justice, and equity, faced by the underprivileged sections of the people of India, especially Adivasis, Dalits, Muslims, women, sexual minorities, and differently-abled persons. It is actively engaged in research and advocacy in India. It was founded in 2015, with the underlying philosophy of the preamble and the fundamental rights of the constitution of India.
The Program:
Quill Foundation is initiating a Scholarship/Mentoring Program for those who are law aspirants but lack strong financial backing. It is also for those law aspirants who want to engage in addressing the community issues while studying law. The program involves mentoring of the students throughout their LLB program by placing them with rights groups, community organizations, and law firms. They will be trained with a vision to become community resource persons for taking up everyday struggles around rights and state provisioning.
Eligibility:
To qualify for scholarship, students :
- Must pass 10+2 exams
- Must have scored minimum 60% marks in English optional/elective subjects in 10+2
- Not opting for payment/self financing seats
- Financially week and unable to pay for their education
