About the Organizers:
RAJIV GANDHI NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LAW, PUNJAB:
The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The University has been accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC. The University is dedicated to provide holistic legal education and to promote quality research in law and allied disciplines.
CENTRE FOR ADVANCED STUDIES IN HUMAN RIGHTS (CASIHR):
In consonance with the objectives of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights (CASIHR) has been established. The Centre’s primary objective is to undertake, support and promote advanced study and interdisciplinary research on the emerging trends in human rights and its allied fields.

Objectives of webinar:
To raise awareness on the issues rape myths and stereotypes surrounding adjudication.
To identify educational and social strategies to address the issue.
To collect, share and develop innovative responses and best practices for elimination of such rape stereotypes in order to make the criminal justice system more victim-centred.
To give recommendations and concrete proposals for action for elimination of inadequacies and ambiguities in rape legislations.
Details for participants:
The webinar shall be conducted on 30th August, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
It will be conducted through WebEx.
The webinar link will be provided through mail.
There is no registration fees for the webinar, however the participants will have to confirm their participation by filling the google form given on the official link.
The participants shall be given the e-certificates on the completion of the webinar and filling the feedback form.
