Led by the visionary scholar of law, the vice-chancellor professor (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, the university has been proactive inorganising a series of events encompassing a wide spectrum of socio-legal issues despite the spread of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown, HPNLU, has been at the forefront of using digital platforms to raise awareness about issues such as fundamental duties, reproductive rights of women, human rights and access to justice etc.
About Competition
HPNLU has always tried to inculcate an interest in mooting culture in its students and considers mooting to be an important part of the law school experience. The Moot Court Committee (MCC) is the official student committee for managing mooting activities and events at HPNLU. In order to foster the culture of moot court competitions, the university is organises the National moot court competition every year.
HPNLU has successfully conducted first edition of HPNLU National Virtual Moot Court Competition in February 2021, virtually owing to the current pandemic. The first edition saw a large participation of law students from all over India. We are happy to organise once again the competition. Despite these unprecedented times, we at HPNLU strive to make this competition bigger and better.
Owing to the continuing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this time too event is set to take place virtually. This editionās problem will revolve around contemporary and developing aspects of Constitutional Law.
Preparations for 2nd HPNLUā NMCC, 2021 are underway and we aim to achieve all round excellence to commemorate this edition. We cordially invite your esteemed institution to be a part of this competition and accept our invitation to participate in the Competition.
Format of Competition
- Owing to the continuing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event is set to take place virtually.
- This editionās problem will revolve around contemporary and developing aspects of Constitutional Law.
- The competition will have two rounds: Memorials Selection Round and Oral Rounds. A total of 32 teams will advance to Oral Rounds.

All interested institutions shall provisionally register for the competition on or before 10th September, 2021 by filling in the google form, the link for which is mentioned below –

Please note that there is no cap on number of teams for Memorial selection rounds (Round I), howe ve r, no more tha n o ne te am may re pre se nt an institution. The final brochure along with moot preposition and rule-book will be released by 10th September, 2021.
