About National Law University, Delhi:
National Law University Delhi was instituted by Act 1 of 2008 of the National Capital Territory, Delhi. The University has been recognized by the Bar Council of India under Section 7(1)(i) of the Advocates Act, 1961 and has been granted approval to conduct the five-year integrated B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Programme. The University has also been included under Section 12(B) of UGC Act 1956. The University has been established with a mandate to create lawyers who are professionally capable, socially responsive and equipped to face the myriad challenges of an ever- evolving society.
The vision of the University is to create a global legal institution which strives to be the best, both within as well as outside India, and to present individuals with a wide range of opportunities to contribute to the legal profession. The curriculum and pedagogy at National Law University Delhi are designed to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and their practical applications. The University aims to encourage novelty and scientific temper amongst its students, enabling them to become pioneers of change for future generations. The commendable achievements of the students of National Law University Delhi within a short span of time stand testimony to the pool of skill and talent that this University has nurtured.
