NLS Call for Applications | Assistant Manager – Professional and Continuing Education (PACE); Apply by April 18

NLSIU invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager -PACE. The PACE department offers online and hybrid programmes that leverage technology to assist remote learners and provide access to NLSIU’s faculty, among the best in the country, to a wide range of learners. The PACE also provides refresher, upskilling, and capacity-enhancing programmes to members of the civil services, judiciary, and professionals engaging with the law in private organisations and in the non-governmental sector. Currently, the University has 7 Diploma Programmes and 1 Master’s programme along with the Certificate programme (FLE) under the PACE Department.

Assistant Manager (Consultant) PACE – 01 Position

This is a full-time contractual position for 1 year (extendable) based out of the NLSIU campus in Bangalore.

Qualifications

Essential:

  1. Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma in administration/management education, project management, IT, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years’ experience in managing teams and anchoring programmes.
  3. Competent in Learning Management technology or digital academic tools.
  4. Experience in managing academic and online programmes in the education technology sector.

Desirable:

Working knowledge of instructional and curriculum design.

Skills:

  1. Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  2. Ability for organization and coordination
  3. Ability to work effectively and constructively as part of a team.
  4. Ability to work flexibly and willing to go beyond office hours. The role will require me to work over weekends.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Critical thinking and ability to suggest alternatives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Anchoring and supporting the academic (degree/diploma/certificate) and training programmes run by PACE – from admission to programme closure.
  2. Anchoring communication with external stakeholders, public and private partners.
  3. Managing learning and delivery design of classes.
  4. Managing academic content and discussion fora on the Learning Management System.
  5. Working closely with the programme faculty to streamline learning goals.
  6. Facilitating digitisation of study materials.
  7. Facilitating effective communication and feedback loops among various stakeholders.
  8. Managing class schedules and related correspondence with faculty.
  9. Ensuring adherence to processes, timelines and SOPs.
  10. Creating proposals for new programmes.
  11. Managing student queries with speed and accuracy.
  12. Collaborating with peers to ensure a high-quality experience for all stakeholders.
  13. Preparation of ERP and LMS for courses.
  14. Student enrolment on ERP and LMS for all courses and timetable creation.
  15. Managing the logistics of conducting classes and office hours.
  16. Liaising with faculty on modalities of course work and classes.
  17. Planning, assisting, and managing logistics of Formative assessment held twice in a year and Summative assessment held once a year and then Repeat examination held once a year.
  18. The process of tabulation and declaration of results for all assessments.
  19. Work relating to the annual Convocation.
  20. Managing student queries.
  21. Any other task assigned by the supervisor
