About the University:
Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad is established under the Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014 and commenced its operation from 16th March 2017. The commencement of the University has fulfilled the aspiration of the people of the Marathwada Region for an Institution of National Importance. The University has dedicated towards the development and advancement of legal education and the purpose of imparting specialized and systematic instruction, training and research in the system of law.
About the Water Policy Center:
The Water Policy Center is an independent, public policy think tank that conducts in-depth, policy- relevant trans-disciplinary research, located in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra. It combines policy and science to produce evidence-based sustainable solutions to the water crisis facing India and the world. We are deeply committed to making WPC a credible voice in water policy. Our scholars work across areas including, but not limited to, water heritage; water, food and energy nexus; water law and governance; water and climate change; water, health, and gender; and water security and diplomacy. Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad and Water Policy Center (WPC) invite online applications for One Year Executive (Post-Graduate) Diploma in Water Law, Policy and Governance from eligible candidates for the Academic Year 2023-24. The online application forms and detailed schedule of registration and admission process are given below. About the Programme:
The Executive (PG) Diploma Programme in Water Law, Policy and Governance aims to impart a sound knowledge and understanding of water, climate change and water economics. The course introduces the student to the complexities of the relationship between water, climate change and the valuation of water; and interconnects law, policy and governance at local, national and international levels. The programme is conducted jointly by Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad and The Water Policy Center (WPC), Aurangabad.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for admission to the One Year Executive (Post-Graduate) Diploma in Water Law, Policy and Governance, a candidate should have:
- Graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks (for General Category) or 45 % marks in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/EWC category and Specially Abled Persona or equivalent CGPA.
- Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear for the Entrance Test, subject to the condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
COURSE OFFERED:
The University and WPC offer a Part-Time One Year Executive (Post-Graduate) Diploma in Water Law, Policy and Governance. The Course is offered in Hybrid (Physical & Online) mode.
NUMBER OF SEATS:
The total number of seats are 25 (Twenty-Five) for t h e Academic Year 2023-2024. The University shall follow the reservation policy by fowling the statutes of the University and the Government of Maharashtra.
METHOD OF SELECTION:
The candidates shall be selected based on his/her graduation marks and the Online Interview.

COURSE OUTLINE:
The Post-Graduate Diploma in Water Law, Policy and Governance is an Executive programme organised through Two Semesters. All lectures will be conducted in hybrid mode on Weekends only. 50 percent attendance is mandatoray for all students.

- The Candidates will be informed well in advance by this office concerning their respective slots for Interviews.
- Mere submission of application shall not guarantee the applicant’s Admission to PG- Diploma in Water Law, Policy and Governance at MNLU-Aurangabad
- Admission to PG- Diploma in Water Law, Policy and Governance shall be subject to the availability of vacant seats with the University.

- Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad and the Water Policy Center reserve the right to change the schedule and to reject the application under the following circumstances:
a. If it is submitted without the payment of a requisite fee.
