Ms. Mukherjee has wide experience in the whole gamut of securities offerings in the domestic and international markets, and has also advised on numerous asset restructuring and acquisition transactions across India. In the course of her long career, Ms. Mukherjee has led some of the most prestigious capital markets transactions in India, including the Coal India IPO, the largest IPO in India till date, DLF IPO, the ADR issue by Sterlite Industries, the first listing of an Indian REIT on the Singapore Stock Exchange, the sale by Petronas of its stake in Cairn India through the ‘screen based’ trading platform of the stock exchanges, the second largest transaction of its kind in India till date and the sale by Government of India of its stake in ONGC through the stock exchange mechanism, the first transaction of its kind. Among recent transactions, Ms. Mukherjee advised the underwriters in listing of the units of the Religare Health Trust on the Singapore Stock Exchange and in the initial public offering of Bharti Infratel, and in the institutional placement programmes of DLF and Fortis. She has counseled a number of prestigious corporate clients, besides having advised the Government of India on numerous disinvestments. Her deep understanding of regulatory issues and acumen in evolving unique commercial structures makes her the preferred counsel for underwriters.
Ms. Mukherjee graduated from National Law School of India University, Bangalore and was admitted to the Bar in 1998.
