FICCI CASCADE is organsing an Elocution Competition for school and college students in NCR Delhi on 12th May’14 at 10:00 am, FICCI Federation House, New Delhi.
The prizes will be: 1st Prize: Rs. 5,000; 2nd Prize: Rs. 3,000; 3rd Prize: Rs. 2,000; Judges’ Choice: Rs. 3,000, along with Certificates of Recognition
Agenda will look like:
10:00-11:30 Elocution Competition of School Students
11:30-12:00 Coffee Break
12:00-01:30 Elocution Competition of College Students
01:30-02:30 Lunch
Winners will be declared on the same day, and the certificates and prize money will be awarded on 5th June, 2014, which is the ‘World Anti-Counterfeiting Day 2014’ in a formal function at FICCI, Federation House. Annexed are the details for your reference.

YOUTH AGAINST COUNTERFEITING AND SMUGGLING
Elocution Competition
Counterfeit and smuggled products are being produced and consumed in virtually all economies. In recent years, there has been an alarming expansion on the types of products being infringed, from luxury items to auto-parts to consumer goods to items that have an impact on personal health and safety. These illicit activities are threatening brands not only in every region of the country but across the globe.
Contraband, counterfeit and smuggled products hurt the integrity of the brand, diluting the brand owner’s reputation. This not only results in erosion of sales of the legitimate product but further [CASCADE]s onto affect the consumers in the form of health and safety hazards. The extent and effects of smuggling and counterfeiting are of such significance that they require strong and sustained action from governments, enforcement agencies, business, media, legal experts and consumers.
FICCI, to fight the menace of counterfeiting and smuggling, established the Committee Against Smuggling and Counterfeiting Activities Destroying the Economy (CASCADE) on 18th January, 2011.
FICCI CASCADE believes that it is important to bring the youth onboard the awareness campaign and through them influence the society as a whole. It is a fact that the modern day youth are prolific users of networking and communication tools and an idea planted in their minds can become an instrument of change. With this in view, FICCI CASCADE has been organizing various youth engagement programmes across the country.
Taking this initiative forward, FICCI CASCADE is organizing an elocution competition on “Youth Against Counterfeiting and Smuggling” on 12th May, 2014 at 10:00 am at FICCI Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi. The key objective of the competition is to inspire the youth to be socially responsible citizens.
The winners of the competition will be felicitated at a formal function on 5th June 2014, which is “World Anti Counterfeiting Day 2014” at FICCI Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.
