Department of Political Science, Chanakya National Law University, Patna is organising a National Article Writing Competition to raise the awareness on Prohibition Law across the world.
The competition will give an opportunity to young minds to harness their creativity and expression against intoxication.
Topic for the National Article Writing Competition is as follow:
“A Critical Study of Prohibition Law in U.S.A., Russia, Canada, Scandinavian Countries and West Asian Countries”.
- There will be no registration charges for participation in the competition.
Eligibility:
The article writing competition is open to all persons who are currently enrolled in a course of study at any educational/research institution of India, which is recognised by competent authority of India.
The age of the participant should not be more than 35 years as on 01.03.2023.
Only one entry from each participant will be considered. In case it is found that a participant has submitted more than one entry, then his/her candidature will be rejected.
Length of the Article:
The length of the article should be in between 4000-5000 words. (Excluding citations) Language and presentation:
- The article shall be written in English language only.
- The article must be typed in an A-4 size MS word document using Calibri font only. Font having size 12 with 1.5” spacing.
- Participants should adhere to any uniform citation and all the sources must be duly cited.
Note : The article should reflect original thinking and presentation. Plagiarism or non- conformity to the guidelines will lead to disqualification of the participant. The CNLU, Patna shall not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
Manner of submission:
The participants would be required to submit following six documents online as attachments in a single e-mail to the address: [email protected] The subject of the e-mail should be written as “National Article Competition-2023”.
Participants should send the articles in both (i) MS word docx and (ii) pdf format. The names of both the .docx and .pdf file should be the e-mail id (excluding the domain name) of the participant. Articles sent by email will be considered only. Mention of the participant’s name/email or other personal details anywhere in the body of the article will lead to disqualification.
General:
If an entry is found violative of the guidelines, it will be removed from the evaluation process without giving any intimation or explanation to the participant.
The CNLU shall have an exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable license to copy, store, edit, distribute, transmit and publish competition entries.
CNLU may undertake publicity activities relating to the competition and prize awards. The winners shall agree to the use of their name, photograph and disclosure of region of residence in any post-prize-winning publicity activities.
Any dispute or any issue related to this competition shall be decided by CNLU which will be final and binding.
The CNLU reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the competition/or the guidelines/evaluation criteria etc. at any time without any public notice.
