The conference is conceptualized as an online, in-depth discussion, dialogue, and workshop on fake news and fact-checking. It provides participants with an opportunity to disentangle themselves from the distractions of everyday life to reflect on issues of fundamental and enduring importance. Participants will be expected to share their advanced understandings of the relationship between disinformation, public policy and regulatory frameworks, and personal freedoms and human rights to develop innovative ideas and approaches for bringing specific policy solutions to advance liberal perspectives in media regulation today.
