About Symbiosis Legal Tournament 2018
Symbiosis Law School Pune brings to you the Symbiosis Legal Tournament, 2018 with a whole new bag of events. As part of our annual endeavor to promote alternate dispute learning amongst student there shall be a category of events in Symbiosis Legal Tournament, 2018.
As almost all legal systems across the globe are feeling the burden of backlog of cases and justice being denied through its delay, alternative dispute resolution is showing itself to be a messiah of the overworked judicial system. The easiest way to popularize the practice of actual exposure in the legal fraternity is to give budding lawyers an exposure to the various mechanisms such as Extempore Moot, Negotiation and Arbitration and thus show them the merits of the same.
It is for this precise reason that Symbiosis Law School Pune is organizing Symbiosis Legal Tournament 2018. Spread over the 3 days i.e. 23rd, 24th and 25th of February 2018, this group of events includes a competition for Client Counseling, Negotiation, Extempore Moot and Judgment Writing.
At the end of the jam packed 3 days, there will be an award presented for the Champions of the legal Tournament for the college with the highest Tournament Points. For all the budding lawyers out there who are waiting to try their hand at the skill of Mooting, Counseling and Negotiating and are interested in the winning the thrilling prizes that come along with the tournament, then be sure to head to and Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

Guidelines for Submission

  • All clarifications must be sent in the body of the mail to [email protected]before February 15, 2018 11:59 PM.
  • The judgment must be sent in a Word Document Format (DOC/DOCX) and PDF must be in Times New Roman, Size 12 with 1.5 Line Spacing. Both formats must be attached.
  • The judgment must be sent to [email protected]on or before February 20, 2018 with the subject ‘Submission of Judgment: Judgment Writing Competition’ only.
  • The judgment shall include the following on the First Page
  • Name of the Court
  • Team Code on the Top Left of the Document
  • Title, Number of Case & Date of Delivery of Judgment
  • Nature of Cause & Cause Title
  • Other relevant information
  • The judgment shall comprise of the following aspects/parts
  • Determination of Facts
  • Admissibility/Maintainability
  • Issues for Determination
  • Framing Specific Questions for Determination
  • Reference to Authorities & Precedents
  • Decisions/Outcomes on Issues
  • Decretal/Operative Part
