IJLT is currently inviting contributions for Volume 17, Issue 1.

About

IJLT is a bi-annual, student-edited, peer-reviewed, open-access law journal published annually by the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. IJLT is the first and only law journal in India devoted exclusively to the study of the interface between law and technology. The Journal as per its mandate places an emphasis on a developing country perspective or a comparative approach that benefits the developing world.

Submission Guidelines

  1. IJLT Invites submissions in the following categories:
  • Long Articles: Between 10,000 and 15,000 words.
  • Special Comments: Between 6,000 and 8,000 words.
  • Essays and Short Articles: Between 3,000 and 5,000 words.
  • Case Notes and Legislative Comments: Between 1,500 and 3,000 words.
  • Book Reviews: Between 2,000 to 3,000 words.
  1. These word counts are exclusive of footnotes. The Editorial Board reserves the right to increase or relax the word count, depending on the quality of the submission.
  1. The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with single line spacing.
  1. Authors are encouraged to use British English in their manuscript.
  2. The Journal employs footnotes as the method of citation, rather than endnotes. The system of citation to be used is OSCOLA (Oxford University Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities) (4th Edition).

Submission Procedure

  1. All manuscripts must be emailed to [email protected] with the subject “IJLT Volume 17 – Submission”.
  1. The manuscript must be made in .doc or .docx format. No biographical information or references, including the name(s) of the author (s), affiliation(s) or acknowledgements should be included in the text of the manuscript, file name or document properties. All such information must only be incorporated in the covering letter accompanying the manuscripts.
  2. All manuscripts must be accompanied by:
  • A cover letter with the name(s) of the author(s), institution/affiliation, the title of the manuscript, and contact information (email ID and phone number).
  • An abstract of not more than 300 words describing the submission.
  1. Authors are required to inform the Editorial Board if they have submitted their manuscript to another law journal and if they have received an offer of publication.
