About the Blog

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights (ā€˜CASIHRā€™) is a research centre under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab (ā€˜RGNULā€™). The Centreā€™s primary objective is to undertake, support and promote advanced study and interdisciplinary research on the emerging trends in human rights and its allied fields.

The Human Rights Blog is an egalitarian space welcoming original contributions involving critical interdisciplinary research on human rights developments across the world.

Submission Guidelines

  1. The Human Right Blog accepts submissions on a rolling basis from external contributors. The submissions will be reviewed and edited by our Editorial Board.
  2. The word limit for the submission shall beĀ 800-1200 wordsĀ accompanied by an abstract of not more thanĀ 150 words.Ā All word limits are exclusive of end-notes and abstract.
  3. Co-authorship manuscripts to a maximum of two authors, of the same or different institutions is permissible.
  4. The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing. The end-notes should be in Times New Roman, font size 10 with single line spacing. The text alignment should be justified.

  5. The Human Rights Blog accepts electronic submissions only. Submissions may be emailed toĀ casihr@rgnul.ac.inĀ under the subject heading ā€œBlogā€“ Submissionā€. All submissions must contain the following:

  1. The manuscript should be in .doc or .docx format. The manuscript should not contain the name of the author or his/ her institutional affiliation or any other identification mark.
  2. Along with the manuscript, a separate cover letter in .doc or .docx format has to be attached. The Cover letter should contain the name of the author, professional information, the title of the manuscript, contact information and a declaration stating that the manuscript is an original and a bona fide work of the author(s) and they undertake to grant the copyright of the work to The Human Rights Blog. However, we prefer that declaration should be made in the declaration form.
  3. Manuscript shall be send along with the declaration form stating that the manuscript is an original and a bona fide work of the author(s) and they undertake to divest the copyright of the work to The Human Rights Blog, if accepted for publication.
  4. Authors must indicate their academic qualifications including their year of study or degree(s) completed and the name of the university/ institution to which they are affiliated.
  5. The title of the manuscript should indicate the sub-theme that the author has chosen.
