A pre-eminent competitive platform to help students across all disciplines prepare for convoluted business negotiations they will face in their professional lives:
About Project H.A.N.C
Project H.A.N.C (Hustle | Agree | Negotiate | Confer) is a one off Negotiation Competition with a special focus on real world Business Negotiations, inviting students across all disciplines.
As a first-of-its-kind forum, Project H.A.N.C provides a launch-pad for students to gauge themselves among the best talent from the top universities in India.
BITS Pilani invites applications for Round 1 of the competition at www.project-hanc.org , with the final competition being held in the main campus from 21st – 22nd February, 2015.
The brainchild of Prof. N.V.M. Rao and Dr. R. Raghunathan, Project H.A.N.C was conceived as a flagship event for BITS Pilani exhibiting the institute’s supremacy in curating multi-faceted entrepreneurial minds.
What makes this project different from the ones already on the block is that it presents situations in a corporate and business setup, rather than a purely legal one. This ensures that it brings people from different educational backgrounds- be it sciences, engineering, or law- to a common playground, where they can battle it out.
About BITS Pilani
Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani is a premier institute of higher education in Engineering and Science. Over the years, BITS has provided the highest quality technical education to students from all over India admitted solely on the basis of merit.
What participants gain out of participating in Project H.A.N.C
Testing communication and mental adroitness in real world negotiation situations, Project H.A.N.C offers an opportunity to meet and network with students with similar interests from diverse backgrounds.
Aimed at bringing out and helping cultivating aspects involved in businesses that are otherwise neglected, Project H.A.N.C will be a unique platform for value addition to one’s life skills.
The competition would include a Nego-Index, where one can attend H.A.N.C various times simply improving his index. This would not only be a USP on their CVs but also help them take back something. The organising committee is also in the process, meanwhile, to ensure that this Index is recognized by a respected body and holds an absolute value.
As a bonus pack, the competition will include a Speakers’ Conclave, comprising of eminent personalities from the business world to share their experiences and to guide the participants.
Unlike conventional competitions, H.A.N.C not only aims at developing participants’ curative and creative abilities but also help them nurture their negotiating and entrepreneurial skills.
Summing it all up, the key takeaway for every next master strategist out there is: Pre-cogitation and brute force won’t help here; only strategy. So, how smart are YOU?
