The committee and the Convener Mrs. DeeptiKohli, manages almost all the activities of the Moot Court like she is passionate to work for it. With her wit and humor, she keeps the environment in the moot court room alive. Regular moot courts are fixed with the single concept of hypothetically preparing a case and asking both the parties to fight against each other like in a court room, but that is not exactly how a moot court should function. A moot court room is supposed to be the most active and exciting rooms of a law college. This room is famous for breaking and making the career of so many students. The moot court room in VIPS is the same. It has been the stepping stones of many law students from this college who have excelled and aced their respective law fields. With a fair and just judging panel of distinguished Professors from various elite law colleges and also High Court and Supreme Court judges, the participants are in no doubt of getting the first and practical hand information of what it is to be like a litigator in an Indian Legal System. Being judged by various high profile judges is a blessing in itself for these young budding lawyers who can learn years of practical knowledge from just one moot court experience which maybe even five years of a law college would not teach them. The VIPS moot court committee organizes a variety of competitions like the Intra moot courts, Negotiation, Mediation and all other sorts of competitions that can help a law student gain practical knowledge before even getting out of a law college. VIPS also organizes an International Moot Court Competition every year. Started very recently, this International moot court competition turned out to be a runaway success with students from various national as well as International universities coming to participate and portray their litigating skills. Currently, the college is about to organize the 2nd International Competition which like, its predecessor has already turned into success with various law organizations and portals sponsoring the event and providing goodies to the winners of the event, whomsoever it may be. With the moot court competitions being organized in such a brilliant way, it is anyone’s guess how well the VIPS Moot Court room is going to flourish in future.
