Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad is established under the Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014 and commenced its operation from 16th March 2017. The commencement of the University has fulfilled the aspiration of the people of the Marathwada Region for an Institution of National Importance. The University has dedicated towards the development and advancement of legal education and the purpose of imparting specialized and systematic instruction, training and research in the system of law.

Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad invites online applications for Two Years M.A. (Master of Arts) in Public Policy Programme (Choice Based Credit System) from eligible candidates for the Academic Year 2023-24. The online application forms and detailed schedule of registration and admission process are given below. About the Programme:
Maharashtra National Law University Aurangabad (MNLUA) offers a Two Years M.A. PUBLIC POLICY (MPP) PROGRAMME for the academic year 2023-24. The programme is intended to provide rigorous training to build ‘an extensive’ foundation in policy analysis. This programme provides students with the opportunity to study on complex issues that determine national, regional and international policies. Upon completing the course, students will be skilled to be placed in decision-making positions in various bodies of government, NGOs, International Organizations and Multilateral Corporations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible to appear for admission to the Two-Year M.A. Public Policy Programme, a candidate should have:

  1. Graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks (for General Category) or 45 % marks in the case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/EWC category and Specially Abled Person or equivalent CGPA.
  2. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear for the Entrance Test, subject to the condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

COURSE OFFERED:
A full-time M.A. Public Policy Course with specialization in Three Core Areas:

a)  Government- Business Relations

b)  Governance, Law and Society

c)  Global Governance & Development

NUMBER OF SEATS & RESERVATION POLICY:
The total number of seats is 60 (Sixty) for t h e Academic Year 2023-2024. The University shall follow the rule of reservation in accordance with the statutory reservation provided by the University and t h e Governmentof Maharashtra.

METHOD OF SELECTION:

The candidates shall be selected based on his/her performance in both, the entrance test and the interview.

A. ENTRANCE TEST:

All candidates shall appear for the MNLUA Common Admission Test-2023. The Test shall –

  1. Have a total of 75 marks, consisting of 50 multiple choice questions carrying 1.5 (one and

    a half) marks each.

  2. The Entrance Test shall be based on general knowledge of political science and

    international affairs, law, administrative and management principles, geography,

    sociology, government policies and schemes, and logical reasoning.

  3. The Entrance Test shall be of Two Hours duration

B. INTERVIEW

The interview shall be conducted for 25 marks. The interview shall be conducted online.

C. APPLICATION FEE

The application fee for the admission process is Rs. 1000 (Non-Refundable)

COURSE OUTLINE:
The MA Public Policy is a Two-Year residential programme organised through four semesters. Classrooms follow creative pedagogy and innovative teaching-learning aids. The programme Consists of compulsory and elective papers through the four semesters.

Important Note:

  1. The Candidates will be informed well in advance by this office concerning their respective slots for Interviews.
  2. Mere qualifying in the MNLUA Common Admission Test or mere submission of application shall not guarantee the applicant’s Admission to MA Public Policy at MNLU- Aurangabad
  3. Admission to M.A. Public Policy shall be subject to the availability of vacant seats.
  4. The candidates should apply only through Online Mode as prescribed by the University on the website. Please refer to our website (www.mnlua.ac.in).
  5. Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad reserves the right to change the schedule

    and to reject the application under the following circumstances: a. If it is submitted without the payment of a requisite fee. b. Incomplete application
    c. Incorrect Information

  6. d. Application received after the scheduled date of submission prescribed by the University.
