The Centre for ADR works towards making students aware and exploring various other mechanisms that are available to resolve a dispute that arose, either between two individuals or companies. It also paves way for a harmonious dispute resolution mechanism and aims at accrediting competent practitioners in the field of ADR.

YCM India is India’s first organization building a network of professionals, students, and mediators who are passionate about peacebuilding and making a career in new age dispute resolution to dispute prevention. YCM is India’s first organization building life skills for dispute prevention to dispute resolution for youth and people who deal with youth. You learn skills to prevent minor disagreements, arguments, and deadlocks from turning into full-blown disputes! Conflicts are inevitable so might as well learn skills to deal with them POSITIVELY! YCM TRAINS you in conflict management skills to navigate routine conflicts to arrive at outcomes acceptable to you. Learn intensive conflict management skills and get certified as a youth conflict manager and a youth mediator. YCM COLLECTIVISES the power of youth to build India’s First network of youth conflict managers and youth mediators. Trained youth are setting up Youth-run centers across campuses of educational institutions, organizations, and beyond. It upskills to convert conflicts into growth spaces!
About Co. Dr. Jeppiaar 1st National Mediation Competition, 2023:
Col. Dr. Jeppiaar 1st National Mediation Competition, 2023 is an Online NationWide Competition organized by School of Law (Centre for ADR) as mediation is gaining attraction as an effective and efficient means of Alternative Dispute Resolution. This Competition will provide an opportunity to the participants to develop the requisite skills for a dynamic process of Mediation. The participants will also get familiarized with the procedures of Mediation and acquire more practical knowledge in this field.

Eligibility:
Any student pursuing a five year integrated law course, three year law course, three year BCom., BBA, or MBA in a recognized Institution are eligible to be a participant in this competition.
*Note: Any number of teams can participate from one Institution.*
Awards:
1. Winners: Rs.15,000 + Grand Trophy + Merit Certificate + Internship at YCM + 10% Discount on 40 Hour Intense mediator Training Program offered by YCM.
2. Runners-Up: Rs. 10,000 + Grand Trophy + Merit Certificate + Internship at YCM.
3. Best Mediator: Rs. 5,000 + Grand Trophy + Merit Certificate + 15% Discount on 40 Hour Intense mediator Training Program offered by YCM.
4. Best Mediating Pair: Rs. 5,000 (each) + Grand Trophy + Merit Certificate + 10% Discount on 40 Hour Intense mediator Training Program offered by YCM.

Registration Fee inclusive of GST is INR 3,000 for one Team, Non – Refundable.
