The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM) is a Central Government Institute under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry is engaged in conducting departmental & public Training programs relating to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR’s) i.e. Patents, Designs, Trademarks, GI & Copyrights and International programs. RGNIIPM has been established at Nagpur as a National Center of Excellence for training, management, education in the field of Intellectual Property Rights.
NEED FOR PROTECTION OF IPR
IPRs are considered as a barometer of R&D activities, encourages technology transfer, national / foreign direct investments & helps in technological / industrial development. From last many years it was observed that, filing of IP applications in the country are not increasing at higher rate despite significant contribution towards R&D by various Institutes, Scientist and R&D organizations, teachers, student etc. Hence in order to implement the objectives of National IP policy, it has been decided to upgrade IP skills of professors, scientist, students/researchers, professionals, Industry officials etc. through in-depth training by RGNIIPM Nagpur.

BRIEF ABOUT VARIUS IMPORTANT IPR’S
Patents (for inventions):-Patent is an exclusive right granted by the Government to the applicant for his disclosed invention of product or process which should be new, non-obvious, useful and patentable. Patent offers technical solution to a technical problem.
Designs:-Protecting any shape, configuration, pattern, color and the creations of the appearance of industrial products.
Trade Marks:- Trademark is a visual symbol in the form of word, name, logo, label etc. as applied to an vendible article, with a view to indicate origin of manufacture or service or vendor in that respect and enable customers to distinguish the product of one manufacturer from the goods of the other.
Copyright: Copyright is a right given by the law to creators of literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works and producers of cinematograph films and sound recordings. It is a bundle of rights including rights of reproduction, communication to the public, adaptation and translation of the work. The exclusive and assignable legal right, given to the originator for a fixed number of years, to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material.

PLEASE NOTE:-
- There are limited 50 seats for registration & will be based on first come first serve basis,
- The above training program fee does not include the cost of accommodation and travel of participant,

- For One week, Three/Two/ one days programs at RGNIIPM, the training kit includes Bag, training material, Bare act, writing pad, Pen, certificate, tea, working lunch.
- Fees once paid will not be refunded and will be adjusted in next training programs in same financial year.
- Applicant should paid the fees on/before training starts
- The dates, name of program, may be change/customized & combination of these programs can be done for 1 days, 2 days and 3 days. Participants may choose any combination of above programs.
DETAILS ABOUT FEE CONCESSIONS
Ø 50 % fee concession on “training fee” for Students who are admitted or pursuing course during 2022-23. Students from “Distance Learning or Online Courses” are also entitled to get “Students Concessions”. Participants seeking “Student concession” in “training fees” shall provide a self-attested copy of Bonafide certificate from Institute/university OR self-attested copy of Identity card for the year 2022-23 from the respective Institute/university and should bring original at the time of training for verification; This concession will not be applicable to who already availed fifty percent fee concession;
Ø 50 % fee concession on “training fee” for lady participant. Photocopy of ID card to be submitted. This concession will not be applicable to who already availed fifty percent fee concession;
Ø 50 % fee percent concession on “training fee” for the participants who are owner or employees of start-up or MSME or SME. Valid Identify card issued by startup/MSME/SME and photocopy of Start-up certificate received from DPIIT or photocopy of MSME certificate shall be provided by the participant. This concession will not be applicable to who already availed fifty percent fee concession;
Ø 50 % fee percent concession on “training fee” for any one organization nominating 4 or more participants for a single training program OR they can suo-moto come with ID card of single organisation. Copy of self-attested valid Identity card of organization or letter on letterhead for deputation from organization shall be provided. This concession will not be applicable to who already availed fifty percent fee concession;
Ø 50 % fee percent concession on “training fee” for any College / Institute nominating any number of officials for training program. Copy of self-attested valid Identity card of Institute or letter on letterhead for deputation from Institute shall be provided. This concession will not be applicable to who already availed fifty percent fee concession;
Ø Any Two or more fees concessions cannot be allowed to be clubbed.
