On Monday, the Bombay High Court have reserved the plea which was filed by the businessman Raj Kundra assailing its remand to the custody and the subsequent orders of the Metropolitan Magistrate in the famous porn film racket case. The application was filed for the interim bail that was pending for the hearing initially and not granted by the court. The chief public prosecutor has opposed the plea by stating that Raj Kundra has been arrested only because it has refused to acknowledge the notice served under section 41A of CrPC which clearly implies that it has no intention to cooperate from its end. The arrest of Raj Kundra was because he was trying to destroy some of the evidence which the agency was trying to recover. Raj Kundra has been charged with the offences under the Indian Penal Code, namely section 292, 293 and sections 67, 67A of the Information Technology Act and some of the provisions of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
