About the Webinar
Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy (IFPD) is organising a webinar in collaboration with Her-World on 27th December 2020.
Since time immemorial, the predisposition of women in diplomacy can find its position at multiple fronts through the course of history. From the playwrights of Aristophanes to the multilateral negotiations of the 21st century, women have been playing a key role in establishment of peace and tranquillity.
Though one may point out that diplomacy is gender-neutral and does not entitle itself with sexes, the construct of recent societal experimentations has increased the importance of the role of women in peacekeeping, the context and imperatives of gendered institutions, the role of feminist foreign policy, and also has enhanced studies to achieve equity among masses through the advocacy of women in diplomacy.
To understand the dynamics of women and foreign policy and the trajectory of India for a feminist foreign policy, the Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy (IFPD) is collaborating with Her- World, to initiate a webinar on “Women in Diplomacy – Challenges and Perspectives” to influence young academia for developing honest conversations on issues of pivotal importance and to enhance dialogue, debate, and discourse in foreign policy and allied areas.
