T Works Fellowship 2020 by Telangana Government, Hyderabad; Apply by September 15th, 2020

ABOUT T WORKS:

T Works is an initiative of the Government of Telangana with a vision to create and celebrate a culture of hobbyists, makers and innovators who explore and experiment without the fear of failure. Phase-1 of T Works, spread across 78,000 sft, will be India’s largest prototyping centre and aims to lower the barrier for prototype development in the domains of mechanical, electro mechanical, and electronics.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

The T Works Fellowship is a 12-month paid program for creative and passionate individuals. Fellows will collaborate with stakeholders from government, corporate, educational institutions, startups, artists and makers. The first few weeks will be spent learning about T Works, the facility, existing programs, and conceptualizing new programs to accomplish the vision. The remainder of the fellowship will be spent executing the proposed plans. Fellows can work independently, with existing teams, or take complete ownership of a project or program.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A FELLOW:

Candidates with the passion for the maker culture and one or more skills across functions can apply. Whether you like to sketch, design, model, prototype, experiment, cut, weld, drill, or just make things, you can contribute. Roles include, but are not limited to, engineering, design, architecture, management, marketing, communications. Responsibilities will include:

  • Working on projects and programs aligned with the vision of T Works.
    For example:
    – Assist startups/rural innovators build better prototypes or products and undertake projects that contribute in R&D
    – Design marketing and communication strategies to build presence of T Works across channels
    – Streamline sourcing of parts and consumables
    – Develop and deploy firmware for various products being built at T Works

  • Collaborating with industry, MSMEs, startups, artists and makers at T Works

  • Thriving in the fast-moving community and being highly autonomous and hands-on

  • Possessing an eagerness and willingness to learn

COMPENSATION:

This is a 12-month paid fellowship with a CTC of Rs.40,000 per month. The role is full time and based out of Hyderabad.
