SC set aside Madras HC's order in a corruption case against Karti Chidambaram

Central Bureau of Investigation alleged that Karti Chidambaram, son of former finance minister P. Chidambaram and member of congress was gratified by a private company, INX media, for allowing them to overreach foreign investment. In pursuance of the aforesaid allegation, look out was issued against him so as to prevent him to travel abroad.
The aforementioned look out notice was stalled by Madras High Court, thereafter, CBI approach Hon’ble Supreme Court assailing the Madras HC order. Supreme Court set aside Madras HC’s order and  upheld Centre’s look out notice. Court specifically ordered him join investigation and no to go abroad.
SC also remarked that it would not commit past mistakes by allowing an accused to flee away as the court already witnessing the consequences of the mistakes done in Vijay Mallya and Lalit Modi’s case.
