A division bench comprising Justice GR Moolchandani and Justice Gopal Krishan Vyas, rejected the preliminary objection raised by the National Law University, Jodhpur, in a writ petition and said that it is maintainable under Article 226 of Constitution.
NLU in the preliminary hearing said that it is an autonomous body not receiving any financial aid from the government. While the petitionerĀ said that National Law University, Jodhpur is established by law and for that purpose, there is an act know asĀ National Law University, Jodhpur Act of 1999.
