Tougher liquor law in Bihar

Bihar CM is enforced a new and tougher anti-liquor law on Sunday after Patna High Court had called the notification of the amended Excise Act. The new Act too is likely to be challenged.
The Bihar government is likely to approach the Supreme Court and challenge the Patna High Court judgement on twin grounds- the constitutionality and societal needs.
High Court lawyer Harsh Singh said that the court was expecting the government to bring changes in the penal sections of the law.
