About the Organisers
The Tamil Nadu National Law School is a University established to provide quality legal education by the Tamil Nadu National Law School Act, 2012. The objective of the University is to advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of law and legal processes and their role in national development.
The Competition Commission of India is a regulatory body established by the Government of India with effect from 14th October, 2003. The duty of the Commission is to eliminate practices having adverse effect on competition, promote and sustain competition, protect the interests of consumers and ensure freedom of trade in the markets of India. The Commission is also required to undertake competition advocacy, create public awareness and impart training on competition issues.
About the Moot
The Moot Problem is based on the contemporary issues involved in Competition Law and Labour Law. The moot shall be based on the memorial elimination format. The top twenty-four (24) teams shall be selected to participate in the oral rounds. The Competition is open to students pursuing their LL.B. Degree in the 5 Year or 3 year law course. Only one team (2 speakers and 1 researcher or 2 speakers only) from each institution is eligible to participate. Teams have to register by sending a mail to [email protected] and a Demand Draft of Rs. 3,000 drawn in favour of The Registrar, Tamil Nadu National Law School to the following address:

The email must contain details of the team composition as well as the scanned copy of the Demand Draft and the Registration Form.
The important deadlines for the Moot are as follows:
(i) Release of the Moot Problem: November 14, 2017
(ii)Last date for registration: November 30, 2017
(iii) Last date for seeking clarifications in the Moot Problem: December 2, 2017
(iv)Last date of submission of hard copy of Demand Draft and Registration Form: December 7, 2017
(iv)Last date of Submission of soft copy of Memorials: December 30, 2017
(v) Results of Memorial Rounds: January 7, 2018
(vi) Last date of Submission of hard copy of Memorials: January 22, 2018
(vii) Oral Rounds: February 2 – 4, 2018
