SC GRANTS DELHI GOVT. URGENT HEAERING ON JULY 04

The SC on Friday agreed to urgently hear a petition filed by AAP Leader, Arvind Kejriwal seeking to restraint the Delhi HC from passing any judicial orders on the scope and boundaries of constitutional relationship between it and centre in administering national capital.
Only Supreme Court of India has original jurisdiction under art 131 in any dispute between govt. Of India and States.it is contended that the dispute between the centre and the delhi govt. Will be heard and decided by Supreme Court and not High Court.
Dozen of petitions are pending in Delhi High court over the dispute between NDA government and Mr. Kejriwal in which both are contesting each others right to administer and govern national capital.
The Delhi govt has also filed an original suit in supreme court seeking a final resolution on question of legislative and executive power between the centre.
The suit has highlighted many issues including why Delhi police were run by centre unlike other states why anti-corruption branch, Delhi, was restrained from registering the firs against centre governmental employees for corruption.
