Yesterday, the petition challenging the new bill for allowing the cultural sport Jallikattu has been challenged in the name of Animal Welfare Board of India and listed on Monday for hearing before the bench.
Now, this took a huge turn that the petition challenging the bill will be withdraw by the board as Board has said that if at all any petition has been filed challenging the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Ordinance, 2017 on behalf of the board, it should be withdrawn immediately.
Board further cleared the situation that the court cases related to the Animal Welfare Board of India may be filed before the Supreme Court or any other Court only after the approval of the Board.
It seems that Petition has been filed without an approval from Board.
