The 21st Law Commission was constituted by notification dated 14.09.2015 in the Official Gazette for time period from 01.09.2015 to 31.08.2018. It has been more than a year and law commission has not submitted ant report till now. The standards were raised by the 20th Law Commission which was headed by Justice A.P.Shah by submitting quality recommendations and the quantity of work which was done.
The 21st Law Commission is supervised by Justice B.S.Chauhan. it shall Review the system of judicial administration Review/Repeal of obsolete laws, Law and Poverty, Examine the existing laws in the light of DPSP, suggest legislations necessary to implement DPSP and to suggest ways of improvement and reform.
It shall also examine the existing laws to promote gender equality, and suggest amendments thereto and Revise the Central Acts of general importance so as to simplify them and to remove anomalies etc. among other references.
