Fall in line or else we will make them fall in line: Supreme Court to BCCI

The lodha committee has asked the Supreme Court for immediate removal of the BCCI office bearers otherwise the reforms proposed by the committee will not be possible. The committee pointed out that there was nomination of Sharad Pawar, as alternative director for International Cricket Council and Anurag Thakur as representative of the Board in Asian and international cricket bodies to frustrate the Supreme Court’s order of July 18.
After reading the report Chief Justice of India bluntly remarked if  BCCI thought “they are a lawunto themselves?”
Supreme Court also observed that they are not above law and they should fall in line or else court will make them fall in line. The Court has asked BCCI to respond by 6th October. The committee has asked the court to declare all the orders passed by the BCCI which are in violation of the verdict to be ineffective. The committee focused on the annual general meeting of the BCCI of which no minutes of meeting were submitted to the committee and they had to rely on media advisory to know what happened in the meeting.
