The Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee/ School of Law Christ University is proud to announce the organisation of the First National Trial Advocacy Competition.
The Competition is intertwined with the objective to train students in the area of trial advocacy and also to cultivate the art of writing a judgment, which remains a fundamental skill in implementing the rule of law and delivering justice.
The competition will witness the participation of the finest of all law students from various law schools across the length and breadth of the country.
This competition is designed for teams of three participants, made up of two advocates and a witness, featuring two preliminary rounds in which teams of two lawyers try the case on each side.
Successful teams advance through to Semifinals and subsequently to the Finals.
Witnesses will be provided for the Semifinals and Finals.
Participants will have an opportunity to perfect their courtroom advocacy skills before judges and practitioners.
The competition will be held from 19th -21st February 2016.
We hereby cordially invite your esteemed institution to participate in the aforementioned competition.

The provisional registration form can be accessed HERE.
It is mandatory to fill in the Provisional Form in order to participate in this event.
Soft and Hard copies of the actual form are to be sent only once the Provisional Registration has been confirmed.
Strictly one team per institution is allowed to participate.
Number of Teams
The competition is open for 24 teams to participate, which will be decided on first come first serve basis.

Last date for provisional registrations via Google Forms: 20th January, 2016.
Last date to send the soft copies of the registration form along with other necessary document: 25th January, 2016.
All hard copies must reach the hosts at the provided mailing address by: 30th January, 2016.
