Centre's plea will be heard on November 23 on Demonetization

Centre’s plea for seeking transfer of all demonetisation cases to either one high court or the apex court. The Supreme Court listed the matter after Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi mentioned it and sought an urgent hearing.
A bench of Chief Justice T S Thakur and Justice D Y Chandrachud today agreed to hear the said plea on November 23.
Rohatgi said that as directed by the apex court on the last hearing of the case, the Centre has filed the transfer petition.
Earlier, Supreme Court expressed expressed its concern for citizens said it is a serious issue that the long queues outside banks and post offices and expressed its reservation on the Centre’s plea and justices said  “People are affected. People are frantic. People have the right to approach the courts.”
