CBI arrested sitting Senior Civil Judge for murder of his wife

On Thursday, sitting Senior Civil Judge Ravneet Garg  was arrested by CBI for murder of his wife Geetanjali Garg in 2013.
Dead body of his wife was found with multiple bullet injuries in a park located at police lines, Gurugram on 17 July 2013. Ravneet’s licensed revolver was also found on the spot which darkened the doubt. He said that his wife used to go to that park for walk.
Initially, the case was booked as a suicide case but after the revelations of post-mortem report and on complaints of her family members case registered for murder against her Husband and in-laws. it was alleged that she was being ill-treated in relation to Dowry Demand.
Complainant, Pradeep Aggarwal, Geetanjali’s brother stated that the relation of Deceased and her husband not good after the birth of first girl child and the relation became more estranged after she gave birth to second girl child. Deceased parents also demanded for Narco test and alleged that there were discrepancies in lie detective and brain mapping test.
He was produced before CBI Special Magistrate Kapil Rathi and was remanded in 5 day police custody.
As the charges of 302 and 34 is booked against the judge and was taken in to custom after CBI intimated to Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana High Court and Session Court of Kaithal.
