Allegations of sedition against Former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju

JD(U) legislator and spokesperson, Neeraj Kumar lodged a complaint against Former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju at Shashtrinagar police station for allegations sedition.
A lawyer Arvind Kumar seeking registration of a criminal case under sections 124 (A) (sedition), 500 (Punishment for defamation), 501 (Printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory) and 505 (Statements conducting to public mischief) of the IPC.
FIR and Criminal Case is alleged against Katju’s Facebook post in which he asked Pakistan to take Bihar along with Kashmir as a “package deal”. Later he said that he was “only joking”.
Yadav also acted by tweeting that “The state of Bihar may be lacking in resources but it did not give Katju a free hand to humiliate Bihar… The state may be devoid of resources but it does not mean anyone can lambast it”.
