Amidst heavy rain in Lucknow on 29th of June, more than 100 ABVP kaaryakartas reached the RMLNLU campus and started shouting slogans against the discrepancies in CLAT exam. Shocked by this unprecedented event, the RMLNLU administration called upon the police and locked the main gates from inside. Unstopped by this, the kaaryakartas climbed up the main gate and jumped inside the campus. At last theĀ ProctorĀ of the university came out and received ABVP’s memorandum addressed to the CM of Uttar Pradesh, who is theĀ Chancellor of the University. Giving the RMLNLU administration one week’s time, to resolve the issue, they all returned back.
On 1st July, a delegation of ABVPĀ consisting Shantanu Srivastava,Ā Saket Bahuguna,Ā Veer Vikrant Singh, Kanika Shekhawat, Yuvraj Vyas and Monika Chaudhry met the Central Law Minister today demanding inquiry into the recent CLAT scam and also for setting up a permanent body for conducting CLAT in future. The minister, Sri Sadanand Gauda assured the delegates that he would look into the matter and will take the necessary steps as soon as possible.
