GNLU-NFSU CERTIFICATE COURSE ON CYBER CRIMES, CYBER FORENSICS & LAW
Organised by GNLU Center for Research in Criminal Justice Sciences Under the aegis of Police Academia Interaction Forum (PAIF)
Applications are invited in the Google Form by the interested candidates for the 14 hrs certificate program on Cyber Forensics. The Course is a joint effort from the GNLU and NFSU.
ABOUT GNLU:

ABOUT GCRCJS:
Recognizing that a comprehensive appreciation of the technicalities, complexities and patterns of criminal law are indispensable for realizing the goals of the law, the University established the Centre for Research in Criminal Justice Sciences.
(GCRCJS) It is a centre dedicated to researching the niche area of Criminal Law. The centre provides a platform for a holistic research environment and aims to further knowledge and academic discussions about the multifaceted dimensions of criminal sciences.
ABOUT NFSU:
National Forensic Sciences University, the erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University is the brainchild of Govt. of Gujarat. It was established by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2009, with the sole objective of creating professional experts in the field of Forensic sciences. At a juncture of spiking number of crimes involving sophisticated technologies and much- evolved modus operandi, there was a need for scientists and technocrats. Thereby, the resolution of such heinous crimes was more diligently possible. This has been prudently considered by the Govt. of Gujarat and the university came into existence as a unique and first of its kind academic institution dedicated to Forensic Sciences across the nation.
ABOUT PAIF:
A decision was taken in the DGsP/ IGsP Conference, 2018 held in Tekanpur, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh to set up Police-Academia Interaction Forum (PAIF) to facilitate the interaction of final year students of National Law University (NLU) with Police Officers on legal matters including issues related to forensic science for improving the quality of investigation and prosecution of criminal cases.
The interaction will also allow the students and the members of faculty to study issues related to law enforcement, police administration, prosecution and other issues of academic interest. Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi has issued an advisory to States/UTs for setting up of Police-Academia Interaction Forum (PAIF) as per the decision taken in the DGsP/IGsP Conference, 2018.
The DG & IG of Police, Gujarat has decided to set up Police-Academia Interaction Forum (PAlF) with the participation of Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar; Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU) now National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar and Raksha Shakti University (RSU), now Rashrtiya Raksha University (RRU), along with Gujarat Police.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME:
Lately, the graph of cyber-crimes in India has been on the rise. This has paved the way for varied interpretations, understanding and development of laws surrounding this niche subject. This course attempts to provide a holistic understanding of the contemporary issues involved in cyber-crime and their correlation with forensic science. It will enable the participants to enhance their understanding of cyber-crime laws in India and provide them with a better understanding of the application of forensic science in the domain of cyber-crimes.
Fees for the program: 1500 INR

Duration of program: One week (16 August to 22 August 2021).
