Cabinet approves the amendment to 'Right to Education' Act 2009

The Union Cabinet has approved the amendment to Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009.
The Provision to Section 23(2) of the RTE Act specifies that all teachers at elementary level who, at the commencement of their teaching career don’t have the qualification and training as required they are need to acquire the qualification  prescribed by the authority within the four years earlier the date was 31st March 2015 but after this, they increased and now the date is till 31st March 2019.
According to state government there are total 66.41 lakh teachers out of which 11 lakhs are untrained. Out of 11 lakh 5.12 lakh teachers are in government school and 5.98 lakh teachers are in private school.
The extended period will help the teachers to acquire their qualification and complete their training. This will improve the quality of education and leadership among the teachers so that they can guide the students in their studies and the students can build their bright future.
