At night of Holi, the Supreme Court agreed to hear an urgent writ petition filed by the Congress party challenging the āblatantly unconstitutional actionā of Goa State Governor Mridula Sinha to invite Goa BJP legislature party leader Manohar Parrikar as Chief Minister of the State. Only a person govern the rights and appointed by the central government can only take decision and use the powers for the benefits of the people. Petition further said that āCongress party was voted the single largest party in the state legislatureā. Ā But Indian national congress could not prove the majority and BJP need 8 more seats to prove majority and they appointed Manohar Parriker as a chief minister candidate and with response he became the new chief minister of Goa and due to this Indian national congress went to supreme court and on special cases, Chief Justice of India J.S. Khehar agreed to set up a Special Bench and to hear the petition filed by Chandrakant Kavlekar, the elected leader of the Goa Congress Legislature party, on March 14 at 10.30 a.m. Mr. Parrikar is scheduled to be sworn in as Chief Minister on the same morning.
