Case registered against the for illegal detention of girl

Case has been registered againstĀ three policemen in connection with the alleged detention of a woman for more than 24 hours. The said police station is Hanskhali police station.
It’s also alleged that the cops asked forĀ Rs 2 lakh as bribe for letting the detained girl free. They have been charged under IPC sections 341, 384, 511, 166, among others.
Additional chief judicial magistrate herself visited Hanskhali police station yesterday after a complaint made and rescue of the 22-year old victim. TheĀ magistrate had checked and found that no complaint had been lodged against the girl whom the cops detained from December 23-28 and took the photocopy of the pages of the general diary during the period so that no insertions could be made later on.
Additional chief judicial magistrate asked the detained girl to identify those who went to pick her up on the night of December 23 and asked the officer in-charge on Wednesday to submit a report within 24 hours over the illegal detention of the woman.
