A district court in Bihar rejected a plea for regular bail to seven businessmen, six of them were from Gujarat and one was from Uttar Pradesh, who was jailed for consuming liquor in breach of total prohibition in Bihar two days ago.
Judicial Magistrate of Patna District Court KiranChaturvedi rejected the application which was passed by the jailed persons which was as follows ‘counsel seeking regular bail for his clients who have been put behind the bars in connection with a case lodged against them for consuming liqour in a posh hotel two days ago’.
The businessmen were sent to jail for 14 days by Magistrate Supriya Goswami after they were produced in the court following their arrest under Excise Act by police.
